Roosevelt General Hospital’s CEO Receives ACHE Regent’s Award

PORTALES, NM, October 11, 2021 – Kaye Green, Chief Executive Officer at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales, New Mexico received the American College of Health Executives Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award at the annual New Mexico Hospital Association meeting in Albuquerque.

The award was bestowed on Green on September 30 by Stephen Stoddard, ACHE’s Regent for New Mexico and Southwest Texas and Executive Director of the New Mexico Rural Hospital Network. The Senior-Level Healthcare Executive Regent’s Award recognizes ACHE members who are experienced in the field and have made significant contributions to the advancement of healthcare management excellence and the achievement of ACHE’s goals.

Members are evaluated on leadership ability; innovative and creative management; executive capability in developing their own organization and promoting its growth and stature in the community; contributions to the development of others in the healthcare profession; leadership in local, state or provincial hospital and health association activities, participation in civic/community activities and projects; participation in ACHE activities; and interests in assisting ACHE in achieving its objectives.

Green has served as Chief Executive Officer at Roosevelt General Hospital in Portales since 2017. Prior to this, she served as CEO of a large hospital system in North Carolina.

Green has clearly demonstrated her passion for delivering high quality and safe care in rural communities, acquiring state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment capabilities, and she continues to recruit additional medical and surgical specialists to serve Roosevelt County. Green served as the Board President of the New Mexico Rural Hospital Network from 2019-2021, and she currently Chairs the New Mexico Hospital Association’s Quality Committee. Also active locally, Green is currently the President of the United Way of Eastern New Mexico Board and an Honorary Commander at Canon Air Force Base. She is a member of Altrusa and the Portales Women’s Club.

Green received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Business & Health Administration from Wayland Baptist University in Amarillo, Texas.
