Welcome to Roosevelt General Hospital

At Roosevelt General Hospital, we are committed to providing comprehensive patient care for residents throughout Roosevelt County, New Mexico and the surrounding areas. We offer a 24/7 physician-staffed emergency room, a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, general surgery, laboratory, digital imaging, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language, and respiratory services.

The RGH Clinic is composed of providers from many specialties including family medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, women's health, general surgery, and interventional pain management. At Roosevelt General Hospital and RGH Clinic, we aim to provide exceptional patient care.

Our skilled doctors, nurses and support staff are available to guide you through your healthcare journey--from care and treatment plans to billing. We look forward to promoting the health and well-being of you and your family.

Our Facilities

Roosevelt General Hospital is a 22 bed hospital located in Portales, the eastern region of New Mexico. We treat patients with professionalism and compassionate care, performing inpatient and outpatient surgeries, emergency services and a full range of diagnostic, surgical and medical care. If you are in need of emergency care or medical treatment, we hope you will visit our facility. Our emergency room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; and our friendly and professional staff is prepared to assist you.

    Education and Training Dr. Anaele received his bachelor's degree in physiology at the University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences in Nigeria, where he later earned his medical degree. Dr. Anaele completed his residence in pediatrics at Woodhull Hospital and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Anaele is a board certified pediatrician.
