Cardiopulmonary Services
For many area residents suffering with breathing difficulties, walking
a few steps can be considered an accomplishment. Many factors contribute
to breathing problems such as a cardiac event, a severe accident, or a
chronic lung problem. Premature infants are also at a risk for breathing
issues. In almost all of these cases, you will be referred to our Cardiopulmonary
Services. The therapists at RGH work closely with you to develop a treatment
plan designed specifically for you.
The RGH Cardiopulmonary staff is available 24/7, offering inpatient and
outpatient services.
Pulmonary Function Test
Provides diagnosis of most lung-related problems.
Treadmill Stress Test
These tests assist in the diagnosis of cardiovascular disease, ischemic
heart disease, cardiomyopathy, and many other cardiac-related problems.
Sputum and Blood Collection
This is done to determine the level of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases in your body. The information gathered provides data used in diagnosis.
