RGH Taps Interim CEO

Roosevelt General Hospital has tapped Bo Beames to lead the transition of leadership as interim CEO. Dr. Leaming, current CEO of RGH, will be stepping down in the beginning of January.

“In my experience, things happen for a reason. It’s just natural for somebody like Bo to step up. It really helps everybody,” said Leaming. “He will keep things running smoothly. He is very level-headed, very calm, easy-going and has lots of enthusiasm for small, rural hospitals. Health care is not easy, especially with all the changes that are going on. You need to be an optimist, and you need to have a lot of energy for what’s to come.”

Bo, a native of Hobbs, NM, has extensive experience in rural healthcare, particularly in New Mexico. His past administrative roles in rural New Mexico hospitals encompass Soccoro General Hospital, Plains Regional Medical Center, and Dr. Dan C. Trigg Memorial Hospital. Bo has also served as a memer of the New Mexico Hospital Association Board of Director's from 2008-2016 and served as NMHA Board Chairman in 2014.

“Bo has already come on-site to meet with leadership and staff,” said Marketing Director Greg McFarland. “He has dealt in transitions of leadership and has a very extensive background in rural health care in New Mexico."

Bo Beames will officially assume the role of Interim CEO at the beginning of January.
